David Boon Joins ICC Board as Cricket Australia Interim Chair
Former Australia batter David Boon has joined the ICC Board as Cricket Australia's interim chair, taking over from Mike Baird.
Boon became interim chair on 28 October after Baird stepped down, and the role automatically gives him Cricket Australia's seat on the world governing body's board, with the next ICC meeting set for Bali later this month.
Boon played 107 Tests and 181 one-day matches for Australia between 1984 and 1996 and was part of the 1987 World Cup-winning side.
He later served as a national selector and spent a decade as an ICC match referee, standing in more than 400 matches.
He joined the Cricket Australia board in February 2025, and a process to appoint a permanent chair will begin in the months after the annual general meeting.
