Eden Park Sold Out for India's 4th T20I in Front of 40,000

Eden Park in Auckland has sold out for Friday's fourth T20I between India and New Zealand, with around 40,000 fans expected at the ground.

The crowd will smash the attendance record for a bilateral series match in New Zealand, beating the 36,523 who watched India play New Zealand at Eden Park in 2019, and will be the third-biggest crowd for an international cricket match at the venue.

Only two bigger crowds have watched international cricket at Eden Park: a reported 42,000 for New Zealand against Australia in 1982, and 41,000 for the 2015 World Cup semi-final, when Grant Elliott's six sent New Zealand into the final.

More than 126,000 tickets have been sold for the whole India tour, with over 71,000 of those for the T20I series alone, and India lead the five-match series 3-0 going into Friday's match at 12:30 PM IST.

The fifth and final match of the series, at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday, is also sold out.
