Gambhir Backs Young Bowlers to Win ODI Series in New Zealand

India head coach Gautam Gambhir has backed India's young bowling attack to win the one-day series in New Zealand, saying the bowlers should get the credit if India do well.

Speaking after India won the T20I series 3-2, Gambhir said overseas one-day and Test series are won by bowlers, and called this probably the most inexperienced bowling attack in one-day cricket.

With Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya not available, India will rely on Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Auqib Nabi, Anshul Kamboj and Gurnoor Brar, with Siraj the most experienced pacer with 51 one-day matches.

The five-match one-day series starts at Eden Park, Auckland on Wednesday, 4 November, at 7:30 AM IST.
