Hridoy Smashes Maiden Test Century as Bangladesh Reach 205 for 7 in Sylhet

Towhid Hridoy scored his maiden Test century, reaching 100 not out as Bangladesh reached 205 for 7 at lunch on the third day of the second Test against West Indies in Sylhet.

Hridoy brought up his first Test fifty off 109 balls in the morning, then carried on to his hundred off 171 balls, hitting 11 fours and a six, while wickets kept falling at the other end.

Bangladesh had resumed the day on 88 for 3, still 268 runs behind West Indies' first innings total of 356, and lost four wickets in the morning session, but Hridoy held one end together and took the hosts past the follow-on mark of 157.

Bangladesh must win the match to level the two-match series, after West Indies won the first Test in Dhaka by eight wickets.
