Jaiswal's Fourth Duck in Nine Innings Deepens Red-Ball Worries Before New Zealand Tests
Yashasvi Jaiswal fell for a four-ball duck in the first over of India A's second unofficial Test against New Zealand A at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday.
Seamer Fraser Sheat trapped the opener leg before wicket, making it the left-hander's fourth duck in nine red-ball innings since India's tour of Sri Lanka in August.
He has not scored a fifty in the format since August, with scores of 17 and 5 in the first unofficial Test last week and a 13-ball duck for Mumbai against Chandigarh in the Ranji Trophy earlier in October.
In Sri Lanka he managed only 77 runs across three innings in the drawn series, including a duck in the warm-up game against the SLC XI and another in the second innings of the first Test at Galle.
The lean run is a worry for India with the two-Test series against New Zealand starting at Basin Reserve in Wellington on 19 November.
