Nahid Rana Ruled Out of West Indies Tests With Shoulder Injury
Rana was left out of Bangladesh's squad for the first Test after the injury was confirmed by team officials following his assessment in Australia.
Doctors first feared weakness in his back and pelvic area, but further checks found a tear in the labrum, the cartilage that steadies the shoulder joint.
He has already received an injection and started rehabilitation, and he could resume bowling from 30 October.
Even so, team officials are not sure he will be fit for the South Africa tour in November, and his return will depend on how fast he recovers.
It is another setback for the young pacer, who had already missed games this year with a side strain and a glute injury during his comeback.
