Naman Dhir Wins Impact Player of the Series Medal After Stellar New Zealand Tour

Naman Dhir has won the Impact Player of the Series medal for his brilliant batting in India's 3-2 T20I series win in New Zealand, receiving the medal in the dressing room after the fifth and final match at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday.

The medal was presented by India's strength and conditioning coach Adrian Le Roux.

The 26-year-old scored 138 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 200 on his maiden overseas tour, staying unbeaten twice — his unbeaten 42 off just 15 balls in the record chase at Christchurch, 31 off 17 balls in the second match, the winning boundary in the third match, 28 off 13 balls in the fourth match and 33 off 23 balls in the finale.

India won the first three matches to seal the series before New Zealand fought back in the last two games.

Glenn Phillips was named Player of the Series with 341 runs, while Dhir stays with the squad for the one-day series starting in Auckland on Wednesday.
