New Zealand Beat India by 87 Runs to Avoid Whitewash at Eden Park

New Zealand have beaten India by 87 runs in the fourth T20I at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, ending India's winning run in the series and making it 3-1 with one match left to play.

Glenn Phillips led the win with 107 off 49 balls, reaching his century in just 46 balls with ten sixes and six fours, while Michael Bracewell smashed 65 off 25 balls as New Zealand posted 259 for 7, their highest T20I total and the most ever conceded by India.

India's chase fell apart in the first over itself, with Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan both falling to Jacob Duffy, and no batter could rebuild after that.

Tilak Varma top-scored with 35 off 35 balls as India finished on 172.

The 87-run loss is India's second-biggest defeat while batting second in T20Is.

Arshdeep Singh also reached 150 T20I wickets during the match, the first Indian bowler to reach the mark.
