New Zealand A Win Toss, Bowl First as India A Begin Second Unofficial Test
New Zealand A won the toss and chose to bowl first in the second unofficial Test against India A at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday.
India A captain Dhruv Jurel leads a side that includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal, with Mohammed Siraj in the pace attack after joining the squad for this match.
Rhys Mariu captains New Zealand A, with Mitchell Hay keeping wicket.
India A made a shaky start after being sent in, losing Jaiswal for a duck to Fraser Sheat with only 8 runs on the board, leaving Sudharsan and Padikkal to steady the innings.
The four-day match runs until 3 November, after the first unofficial Test in Lincoln ended in a draw despite India A fighting back from 113 all out in the first innings to 516 in the second.
