Uttarakhand leg-spinner Prema Rawat has set a new world record for the fastest fifty in women's T20 cricket, reaching 50 off just 14 balls against Hyderabad in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy.
Rawat finished unbeaten on 50 at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Gahunje, Pune, and then followed it up with the ball too, taking two wickets for 12 runs in a stunning all-round show.
Her 14-ball fifty broke the previous record of 15 balls, which was shared by three batters.
The record for the fastest fifty in a women's T20 international still belongs to Fatima Sana, whose 15-ball fifty came against Zimbabwe earlier this year.
