Saim Ayub Released From Pakistan ODI Squad as Farhan Steps In

Pakistan have released opener Saim Ayub from their ODI squad for the remainder of the tri-series against England and Sri Lanka, after the left-hander asked to return to domestic cricket to work on his batting form and regain confidence.

The change followed a conversation with head coach Mike Hesson, and Sahibzada Farhan has been named as his replacement for the rest of the series.

Farhan, the newly appointed T20I captain, was not part of the original tri-series squad, while Ayub managed only 21 runs across three innings in the tournament and Pakistan had already qualified for the final on 31 October.
