Tim Seifert's unbeaten 89 off 48 balls has carried New Zealand to 150 for 2 after 14 overs in the fifth T20I at Seddon Park in Hamilton today, leaving the hosts needing 42 more runs from 36 balls to chase down India's 192.

Seifert, who was on 47 off 33 balls at the end of 9 overs, has added 42 runs since, with Glenn Phillips unbeaten on 25 off 17 balls alongside him in an unbroken stand now worth 68 runs.

New Zealand lost Finn Allen for 2 early and Daryl Mitchell for 29, but Seifert's charge has put the hosts firmly in control of the chase.
