Former Australia batter Shaun Marsh has signed for Milan Icons for the first season of Italy's new Italia T10 League, which runs from 18 to 29 November.
The left-handed batter played for Australia in Tests, one-day internationals and T20 internationals, and was part of the squad that won the 2015 World Cup on home soil.
He has also been a regular run-scorer in domestic and franchise cricket around the world.
Milan Icons owner Dr Rashid Ali Khan said Marsh's experience at the highest level makes him a valuable addition as the new team is built, while chief executive Shazi Ahmad said his knowledge will help the squad and the growth of cricket in Italy.
The league aims to widen cricket's reach in Italy and give players a new franchise platform.
