Abhishek Passes Gayle and Finch With Third 10-Six T20I Innings

Abhishek Sharma has become the first batter from a Full Member nation to hit 10 or more sixes in a T20I innings three times, after smashing 11 sixes in his 113 off 38 balls against New Zealand in Wellington on Tuesday.

Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch have each managed the feat twice, while Austria's Karanbir Singh leads the overall list with five such innings.

Abhishek hit nine fours alongside his 11 sixes and reached his century in 35 balls as India chased down 199 in 13.2 overs to win by six wickets.

The win sealed the five-match series 3-0 for India, with two matches still to play and the next game at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.
