Arshdeep Reveals the Story Behind His Eden Park Dance Celebration
India pacer Arshdeep Singh has revealed the story behind his new dance celebration in the first ODI against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland, saying the steps are a small routine he shares with his girlfriend.
Speaking to the broadcaster during the mid-innings break, he said the two do the dance steps while out walking to cheer each other up whenever the mood is low, adding: 'That's for my girlfriend.' The celebration came on a big day with the ball for Arshdeep, who led India's attack with 4 for 70 in 10 overs as New Zealand were bowled out for 185 in 40.2 overs.
India went on to win by five wickets, chasing a revised target of 143 in 22.4 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
His four-wicket haul also put him in rare company: Arshdeep became only the third Indian pacer to take four wickets in a one-day international in New Zealand, after Javagal Srinath and Mohammed Shami.
