Arshdeep Singh gave India an early breakthrough in the third T20I at Hnry Stadium in Wellington today, removing New Zealand opener Tim Seifert in the second over.
Seifert, who made just 2 runs from 6 balls, was caught by Axar Patel off Arshdeep's bowling, leaving New Zealand 4 for 1 after India had won the toss and chosen to bowl first.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar had kept things tight in the opening over, conceding only four runs, before Arshdeep struck to give India the perfect start with the new ball.
Finn Allen and Daryl Mitchell were left to rebuild the New Zealand innings, with India chasing a series-clinching win after taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
