Auqib Nabi took his maiden ODI wicket in the second ODI against New Zealand at Hnry Stadium in Wellington, removing Tim Seifert for a duck in his very first over.
Seifert chipped the ball to Anshul Kamboj, who took a diving catch, leaving New Zealand on 2 for 1 after two overs.
Nabi went wicketless in the first ODI in Auckland, when a dropped catch denied him his first wicket, but he did not have to wait long in Wellington.
India won the toss and chose to bowl first in the rain-shortened match, which has been reduced to 47 overs per side, and India lead the five-match series 1-0.
