Bennett to Lead Zimbabwe in Afghanistan Tests as Cremer Returns to Test Squad

Zimbabwe have named 22-year-old Brian Bennett as captain for their two-Test series against Afghanistan, which starts in Sharjah on Thursday, with regular skipper Richard Ngarava still out with a back injury.

Belgian-born all-rounder Antum Naqvi has been included in the 17-man squad after finally receiving clearance to play for Zimbabwe, putting him in line for a Test debut, while veteran leg-spinner Graeme Cremer returns to the Test squad for the first time since December 2017.

Experienced batters Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine are also in the squad, and the second Test starts at the same Sharjah ground on 13 November.
