Gill Says Rohit's Run-Out Changed the Momentum in Eden Park ODI Opener

India captain Shubman Gill has singled out Rohit Sharma's sharp run-out of Daryl Mitchell as the moment that changed the momentum of the first ODI against New Zealand at Eden Park.

In the 22nd over, Glenn Phillips pushed Axar Patel's delivery to the leg side and set off for a single, but a mix-up with Mitchell let Rohit pounce, and his underarm throw to wicketkeeper KL Rahul caught Mitchell short of his ground with New Zealand five wickets down.

Gill also praised India's bowling and fielding in the five-wicket win, which put India 1-0 up in the series, and said the way Virat Kohli batted made the rain-hit chase much easier for the side.
