Devdutt Padikkal Scores 80 for India A Against New Zealand A
Devdutt Padikkal scored 80 runs for India A on the first day of the second unofficial Test against New Zealand A at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday.
Batting at number three, Padikkal hit 12 fours in his 140-ball knock and shared a 91-run stand for the second wicket with Sai Sudharsan, who made 41.
His innings ended when pacer Fraser Sheat bowled him, one of three wickets for Sheat, who also removed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for a four-ball duck in the first over and Smaran Ravichandran for a golden duck.
The knock followed Padikkal's 199 in the second innings of the first unofficial Test at Lincoln earlier in the week, where he fell one run short of a double century.
Yash Rathod made 13 as India A slipped to five down in their first innings.
