Uthappa, McClenaghan Return as Mumbai Indians Unveil New Coaching Group for IPL 2027
Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, have unveiled a new coaching group for the 2027 season, with former India batter Robin Uthappa returning as batting coach.
Former New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan takes over as bowling coach, former India fielding coach T Dilip becomes fielding coach, and former Mumbai pacer Dhawal Kulkarni joins as development bowling coach.
The four will work under head coach Kieron Pollard, who took charge earlier this month after Mahela Jayawardene's departure.
Uthappa played for Mumbai in the inaugural 2008 season and was part of India's winning squad at the first T20 World Cup in 2007, while McClenaghan was part of four title-winning campaigns with the franchise as a player.
The appointments complete the overhaul that began with the departures of bowling coaches Lasith Malinga and Paras Mhambrey and fielding coach Carl Hopkinson earlier in the week.
