England Beat Sri Lanka by 55 Runs to End Tri-Series on a High

England finished their tri-series campaign with a 55-run win over Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, defending 386 for 5 by bowling Sri Lanka out for 331 in 45.1 overs.

Pavan Rathnayake fought hard for Sri Lanka with 118 off 77 balls and captain Kusal Mendis made 89 off 71, but no other Sri Lanka batter passed 48 as the chase fell away.

Liam Dawson led England's bowling with 4 for 49 in his 10 overs, while Ben Duckett's career-best 167 had earlier powered England to their big total.

The win was only a consolation for England, who were already out of the final, while Sri Lanka still go through to Saturday's final against Pakistan.
