Prasidh Ruled Out of New Zealand ODIs, Siraj and Nitish to Play India A Games
Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of India's five-match one-day series against New Zealand, with the team management confirming he needs more time to recover from his hamstring injury and build up his workload before he is ready for matches.
Prasidh, who was picked subject to a fitness clearance, will join the India A squad for the third and final four-day match against New Zealand A once he clears his return-to-play assessment, giving him match practice ahead of the two-match Test series starting on 19 November.
Mohammed Siraj will join the India A squad for the second four-day game starting on 31 October, while Nitish Kumar Reddy will stay with the one-day squad for the first ODI on 4 November before linking up with India A for the third four-day game.
Prasidh hurt his hamstring during the home one-day series against the West Indies, and the team wants him fully ready for the Tests that follow the one-day series.
