Rauf Fined for Code Breach as England Also Penalised in Lahore ODI
Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee and given one demerit point after a code of conduct breach during Pakistan's one-day match against England in Lahore on Sunday.
The incident came at the end of the 46th over of Pakistan's innings, when Rauf, at the non-striker's end, appealed for a wide and then argued with England all-rounder Will Jacks.
He raised his bat and brushed past umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid despite a warning, and both Rauf and England captain Harry Brook accepted the sanctions, so no formal hearing was needed.
It was Rauf's third offence in a 24-month period, taking his demerit-point tally to five.
England were also fined 15 per cent of their match fees after being found three overs short of the required over-rate in the same match, which Pakistan won by one wicket.
