Jaiswal's 150 and Rathod's Century Earn India A a Draw in Christchurch
Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed an unbeaten 150 for India A on the final day of the second unofficial Test against New Zealand A at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, and the match ended in a draw.
Resuming on 20, Jaiswal reached his century off 119 balls with a slog-swept six, then raced past 150, finishing unbeaten on 154 with 15 fours and five sixes.
It was his 18th first-class century, and he also passed 5000 first-class runs during the innings.
Yash Rathod stood with him in a big third-wicket stand and reached his 12th first-class century off 122 balls, and the two sides shook hands shortly after tea with India A well ahead.
India A had made 346 in the first innings against New Zealand A's 424, and led by 191 runs at tea.
The innings was a strong comeback for Jaiswal, who was out for a duck in the first innings and had scored 17 and 5 in the previous match.
He now heads into the two-Test series against New Zealand, which starts at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on 19 November, in much better touch.
