Nahida Akter to Lead Bangladesh at Emerging Nations Trophy

Left-arm spinner Nahida Akter will captain Bangladesh at the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy, after the board named a 15-member squad for the tournament in Ajman in the United Arab Emirates, starting on 12 November.

Sobhana Mostary will be Nahida's deputy, while pacer Marufa Akter misses out with a bone-related injury to her right foot, and Disha Biswas earns a recall, with Sathi Rani and Jannatul Ferdus Sumona also called up.

Bangladesh, who leave for the United Arab Emirates on 10 November, are in Group B alongside Pakistan, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands and Thailand, and they open their campaign against Pakistan on 12 November.
