Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of India A's third and final four-day match against New Zealand A in Lincoln, starting on Saturday, after failing to recover from a side strain.
Pant was named in the squad for the match at Bert Sutcliffe Oval but did not get fitness clearance, and he is still doing his rehab at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
He also missed the first two matches of the series, so he will miss the whole three-match programme.
Tilak Varma has joined the India A squad in his place, while Dhruv Jurel continues to lead the side.
Pant's fitness is also in doubt for the two-Test series against New Zealand, which starts in Wellington on 19 November, and a final call will come after a return-to-play check.
