India all-rounder Prema Rawat has smashed the fastest fifty in women's T20 cricket, reaching the landmark in just 14 balls for Uttarakhand against Hyderabad in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy in Pune on Monday.
Rawat stayed unbeaten on 50 off 14 balls, striking at 357, and she also claimed two wickets as Uttarakhand beat Hyderabad by 89 runs.
The old mark of 15 balls was shared by three players, including Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, whose 15-ball fifty against Zimbabwe earlier this year remains the fastest in women's T20 internationals.
Rawat is a leg-spinner who plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women's Premier League and made her India debut earlier this year.
