India-Pakistan 2027 World Cup Clash Draws 8.4 Million Ticket Requests
India's group match against Pakistan at the 2027 Men's Cricket World Cup has drawn a staggering 8,397,294 ticket requests, more than even the final of the tournament.
The two rivals meet at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on 10 October 2027, in a ground that holds around 34,000 spectators.
The final, at the same venue on 21 November 2027, has so far drawn 7,900,944 requests.
The numbers are part of a huge worldwide ballot for the tournament, which is co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October and November 2027.
As of 1 November, a total of 120,809,467 ticket requests have come in from nearly 2.8 million fans across 193 countries.
These are ballot registrations, not tickets already sold: fans have until 21 November 2026 to register, and where demand is higher than the seats available, tickets will be handed out through a random draw.
The tournament features 14 teams playing 57 matches.
