India Win Rain-Hit 2nd ODI by 4 Runs on DLS, Take 2-0 Series Lead

Rain ended the second ODI at Hnry Stadium in Wellington, with India beating New Zealand by four runs on the DLS method after the match was called off.

India were 113 for 7 in 26 overs chasing 135 when rain stopped play, four runs ahead of the DLS par score of 109, and with the rain getting heavier past the 11:00 pm local cut-off, no more play was possible.

Gurnoor Brar's 4 for 30 had earlier bowled New Zealand out for 134, with Daryl Mitchell top-scoring with 55, while KL Rahul was unbeaten on 26 when the rain came.

The win gives India a 2-0 lead in the five-match series after the rain-hit opener in Auckland, where India won by five wickets.
