Ravindra and Chapman Ruled Out of India ODI Series

New Zealand batters Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman will miss the five-match one-day series against India because of injuries, with the team confirming both players are out.

Ravindra's right shoulder has not recovered enough for him to field at full capacity in white-ball cricket, and the team do not want to risk him ahead of the Test series later this month.

Chapman had a scan on his left hamstring which showed he needs about two more weeks of rehabilitation before he can return.

Tim Seifert, who was first picked only for the last two matches, will now be available for the whole series, while Henry Nicholls comes in for the first three matches and Dean Foxcroft for the last two, and the series starts at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday, 4 November.

Matt Henry, who picked up a muscle tear during the T20I series, has joined the squad and will be assessed before the opener.
