Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 15, Named Bihar Captain for Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 15, has been named captain of Bihar's senior team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the Bihar Cricket Association announced on Friday.

Suraj Kashyap will be his deputy, and the appointment makes Sooryavanshi the youngest cricketer to captain a senior state side.

Bihar open their campaign against Saurashtra in Indore on 14 November, and Sooryavanshi will then join the India Rising Stars squad for the Emerging Asia Cup in Doha, which runs from 19 to 29 November.
